The open and Friday Night Lights are upon us! Even if you aren’t on a team please feel welcome to come into the gym to perform the open workout. We will run heats until everyone has gone! Teams of course will have first priority.

 

Speaking of teams, don’t forget to pick a team name for your #FNL Team!

This being many of your first Open experience (including coach Nic’s!) remember that the only person you are competing with is yourself. The entire CFP community is behind you cheering you on to the bring out your best for 5 weeks! To show even more support we have gathered a great group of sponsors for FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS.

Empowered Family Chiropractic is excited to announce that we will be sponsoring the first night of Friday Night Lights.

We are so grateful to be a part of the Crossfit Progression community and we want to give back to all of you! We will be catering in dinner from John Hardy’s Bar-B-Q and providing drinks as well for post WOD celebration!

You heard correctly, catered John Hardy’s Bar-B-Q and post WOD beverages for celebration. Come ready to eat and celebrate a successful week 1 thanks to our friends at Empowered Family Chiropractic.

Competition Flow

Please feel free to arrive early!

All teams must meet in the CFP Black gym @6:30 pm (If you can’t make it right at 6:30 one of your team mates can fill you in.) You can also check out what heat your team is in for the evening.

At 6:30pm there will be a pre WOD briefing and a walk through of the WOD Location: CFP Black gym

At 6:45pm we will announce all of the teams and play the national anthem

We will start the 1st Heat as close to 7PM as possible. We will not know how long the workout is going to be until Thursday evening. With that being said expect 5 min. transitions between heats until everyone has completed the workout.

The most important rule besides safety, is that everyone cheers everyone on until everyone is finished! And of course give out tons of high fives.

Scoring

Spirit –

Attendance – points available 4 – 1 point for each person who attends

Coaches Choice – Each coach and sponsor in attendance will have 1 vote for the team with most spirit.

At the end of the 5 weeks the teams with the most spirit points will win the grand prize of a team set of custom Nano’s.

 

Overall Placing – teams will add up there score depending on what type of workout we have on that Friday. There will be 16 available points. 1st= 16 2nd= 15 3rd=14, 4=13, 5=12, and so forth…… Scores will be updated by the Monday after each work out.
