Lemmy is one amazing human.  She’s a positive and powerful force and you just might learn a few things from her.  Ladies and Gents… Lemmy Lambeau. lemmy 3What do you do for a living?

I am a work from home Mom!  I run client relations for my husband and I’s IT project management company, StopGap LLC.  I also work part time as an ambassador for an amazing women’s empowerment group called Fierce Forward.

What’s your favorite thing to do outside of the gym?

You can find me hiking pretty often but I’m always up for a good outdoor adventure of any kind.

What made you decide to try CrossFit?

I came from a distance running background and then did a brief stint with amateur bodybuilding.  I was so BORED and I wanted to try something exciting.

How long have you been at CrossFit Progression?

I’ve been a CrossFitter for almost 3 years.  I’ve been with Progression since March.

What was your experience with fitness like prior to CrossFit?

Boring and unsatisfying.   It just became a chore; not something I truly enjoyed.  I felt like I was spinning my wheels, not making any real progress or having fun.

What was your biggest fear when you started CrossFit?

Truthfully, I think my biggest fear was looking like an amateur.  I learned pretty quickly to check my ego at the door.

Favorite cheat day meal?

My favorite cheat meal would have to be Tacos and a cold beer!

What goal(s) are you currently chasing?

I’m chasing a handstand walk as well as really dialing in my accessory work.

What’s the hardest part about CrossFit?

For me it’s the pre-WOD anxiety.  Coming in to workout with a group can be a challenge for me but I feel at home here; like I can be myself and work to the best of my personal abilities without being judged.

What’s one thing your fellow CFP’ers would be surprised to learn about you?

I hold a CF-Level 1 certification.

What’s your favorite piece of advice you’ve gotten from a coach at CrossFit Progression?

All of the coaches have been so consistent on emphasizing form over weight; don’t rush it!  The big lifts will come with good technique.

How has your outlook on health/fitness changed since starting CrossFit?

I love that our sport empowers men and women alike to value themselves for their work ethic and accomplishments, not their appearance.

What has been your fondest memory during your time at CrossFit Progression?

It’s hard to choose but I had an amazing experience at Memorial Day Murph.  I love that the community came together to contribute and better the lives of others through the donations to Ironwood Springs and I felt a genuine support and respect for the memory of our fallen soldiers.

Why do you think you’ve stuck with CrossFit Progression?

Progression feels like home!  As an athlete and a person, this is a place I can grow and contribute to the community in a positive and meaningful way.

What would be your one piece of advice for someone who’s just joining Progression?

I would reassure them that they chose the right place!  I’ve been to a number of boxes and I can say with confidence that CrossFit Progression is top notch.  Whatever your goal might be, the staff here will dedicate themselves to helping you achieve it.  This is the read deal, without a doubt.  I’m so glad I found CrossFit Progression!
