Progression is unique in that we bridge the gap between big box gyms and micro gyms, bringing together the best from all worlds. With a full-time experienced staff, we have the answers to your fitness and health questions.

Progression group classes are and always will be our core, but we offer much more, including 24-hour open gym access, personal training, nutrition coaching, online coaching, workout tracking technology, a spacious and very clean facility, top-of-the-line equipment, all in an atmosphere that maintains a positive fitness community and individualized feel.


Donna is the perfect example of true perseverance. How long does it take to lose weight? How long does it take to build muscle? How long does it take to feel good in your body, buy smaller clothes, eat for nutritional support, do a box jump, do a pull-up, go hiking if you wanted to?!

The real answer is that the work is never really over. We never stop working towards our goal of health and fitness, building on each day, increasing and/or maintaining our physical independence so that we can live, work, do, and be.

Instead of focusing on what we can lose or gain in 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, what if we ask ourselves a different question? How will you feel at 60-70-80-90 years of age? What will you be able to do? Where will you be able to go?

The rollercoaster of life will always have its ups and downs, and what matters most is that you don’t get off the ride. Keep choosing to show up, even if you took time off. Keep choosing to show up, even if you can’t give 80%, 90%, or 100%. Just keep showing up.

Meet the Owners: Joshua & Jennifer Grenell
Progression Fitness was founded in 2010 by Joshua Grenell with one mission in mind: to help adults build real, lasting strength and live healthier lives. A lifelong fitness professional and former registered nurse, Joshua brings a deep understanding of both movement and health to every aspect of the gym’s philosophy and programming.

He is also the author of Fitness First, a book that challenges traditional views on exercise and encourages people to prioritize strength, movement, and long-term well-being over quick fixes and superficial aesthetics.

His wife, Jennifer Grenell, is not only active in the gym community but also serves as a Diabetic Nurse Practitioner at the Mayo Clinic. Her medical expertise and compassionate approach help reinforce Progression’s commitment to sustainable, long-term health.
